Each sphere represents a known or assumed candidate. The position answers three questions: whether the person's experience at this point in life is driven by administrative or theological gifts, whether their instincts are missional or confessional in the context of the commonly understood LCMS polarity, and whether they would reform the structure or entrench it. Each sphere's size reflects the candidate's age; the translucent halo and its cloud of particles follow the weight of the networks behind the name. Click any sphere to read those networks off.
The black cube marks the estimated electoral plurality: where the median delegate stands. The closer a halo reaches toward the cube, the shorter the road to a majority is likely to be. Where two or more halos intersect, it points to a brewing political and factional battle.
